Marketing

Along with my apprenticeship and undergraduate studies, I acquired reasonable Marketing skills, which I was required to prove in several projects for real-life clients as well as in fictive assignments. Usually, these Marketing projects are closely linked together with the production of a creative outcome for the company, so the projects I describe here might appear again in the design section of my homepage. Generally, all our projects consisted of extensive company-, market- and target group research, the application of a great variety of marketing tools to those three areas as well as the creation of a marketing and/ or advertising campaign on the basis of this research. Based on that, I developed creative outcomes to reach the objectives of the campaign and satisfy the client. The projects themselves were implemented individually as well as in group work.

In the following, selections of some works I have done are presented:

Major Project (undergraduate studies): Campaign to raise the awareness to local food suppliers in Germany

(Southampton Solent University, October 2013 – May 2014)

The aim of my major project was to create a campaign to raise the awareness of independent local food suppliers in Germany for a company (Max Lünung GmbH & Co. KG) who supervises more than 50 businesses of that sort. The project itself included extensive secondary and primary research, on the basis of which I created a Marketing and Advertising campaign. The main argument was to make the customers aware of the positive aspects of local food suppliers – closeness to the place of residence, known personnel or economical friendliness as the shop can be reached by foot instead of taking the car. Advertising material that was produced can be seen here

Researching and launching an anniversary edition of an established product

(b.i.b. International College, May – June 2013)

An individual assignment of our Marketing, Design and Video course at b.i.b. International Office was to develop and introduce an already established product in an anniversary edition to the existing target group but also to develop it further. I chose to create an anniversary edition for Camel cigarettes, a brand with a relatively old and constantly decreasing target group. I developed a marketing concept based on extensive research and created a promotional film and the anniversary edition based on my findings.

Creating, branding and introducing a new product for an existing brand

(b.i.b. International College, January – March 2013)

Within our Marketing and Design course at b.i.b. International College, we were meant to chose an existing brand and create a new product for it. In a group of three, we created an organic beer for the internationally known brand “Beck’s” and we called it “Beck’s Earth”. After conducting extensive research of the brand, the target groups, the beer industry etc., we created a new product and developed advertising material to promote and launch it. The brochure we designed can be seen via this link: “Beck’s Earth” (you will need the Adobe Flash Player to view the document.)
